Jack Lufkin and I made a short video last year chronicling the amazing story of the first black officers' training camp, right here at Fort Des Moines during World War I. This was made for display at the Fort Des Moines Museum and Educational Center, and has now been entered into competition in the Film Lounge contest, sponsored by the Iowa Arts Council, Produce Iowa and Iowa Public Television. Our hope is that we make it to finals, get on IPTV...and perhaps even win something! In the meantime, take a look and let us know what you think.
